BUSH TELEGRAPH:  Newspaper from 1974

The publication of this newspaper was another of Paul Kimm's bright ideas to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Bush Davies School in 1974. The proprietors of Morton Newspapers in Northern Ireland kindly agreed to print and donate the newspaper; their daughter Judith was then a student at the school.  Norman Sherry acted as editor whose daughter Annette was also a student; she later went on to join Festival Ballet.
The newspaper has been scanned and sent in by Richard Entecott. Many will remember Richard for being in charge of lighting the school shows during the 1970s whilst, for the most part, being a student at Sackville School in East Grinstead. And what a remarkable job he did too: always unflustered catering for the diverse and sometimes difficult demands of varying choreographers, and Sue Passmore! All the students at the time are indebted to his prowess. I hope we shall be hearing from him in these pages soon.
