Winifred Prideaux, affectionately called 'Priddy'.
Priddy adored Bush Davies and was poached from White Lodge, RBS, simply with the offer to accompany Miss Bush's classes. She stayed for more than 20 years. Many will remember her beloved 'Budgie' sitting quietly on his perch in a cage she would occasionally carry around from studio to studio. Her real love though was to motor down to Bayreuth each year, Budgie in the passenger seat, to wallow in the sumptuous sounds of the operas of Richard Wagner. She was inconsolable when 'B' eventually dropped off his perch. Paul was quick to the rescue however, and took Priddy to choose a new friend - the name escapes (could it have been Paulie?).
