Adeline Genée Letter

Hyde Park Hotel, S.W.1

My dear Miss Bush, (Throughout her scores of letters she always applied a formal style of address)

You and Yours gave me a most unforgettable evening yesterday for which words fail me to show my gratitude, but somehow I feel you understand & know how I feel & how much happiness you afforded me. I only hope you are not too tired out …..for you must have worked like the proverbial Trojan for days ahead to achieve such perfect results and with so many different people to ….to deal with, life must have been very strenuous for you all.

My niece joins me in thanking you for your great hospitality before the performance which we enjoyed enormously and we hope that you will join us at some little tete here when I am back from Denmark .

In the meantime my kindest thoughts and heartfelt thanks.

Yours affect. Adeline Genée-Isitt
